Spring Break

Well... um... about this bunny... I have no more of him than I had at the time of my last post, which is to say, I have two sides of him, his creamy-white belly, and part of his head. And all of these pieces are folded up or thrown in a drawer or something, because I'm in North Carolina, neither knitting nor studying.

I have not been completely idle, though--I have completed a cross-stitch project, reached the top of a mountain, swing danced to a local rock and roll band, and toured a mansion. And now, to books, because Immanuel Kant's philosophy of education isn't going to defeat itself... or maybe it will, we'll see.

In the meantime, have some unnecessary quotation marks and greenhouse pictures.

Bumble, the Infinite Series Bunny

So let's say there's this bunny. He wants to get home to his bunny hole, but it's quite a long ways away; so he decides to just take the first half of the journey in one go. So he gets into his convertible Mustang, drives halfway home, and takes a brief rest. But he's not lazy or overconfident, as is his cousin the hare, so he soon starts his engine again and goes on his way. He decides to make the next leg of his journey half the distance between his new position and his bunny hole. His journey continues, with only a short stop in Sparks, Nevada to replace the alternator. Again, he rests, and again he decides to take half the remaining distance.

The bunny will never get home if he continues in this manner.

And Bumble the Bunny will never be complete if certain college professors continue to assign homework at their current rate.

No One Brings a Rose . . .

Not much to say at this point--I'm just knitting along. The pattern was a little unclear regarding some things, but ravelry.com comment pages are amazing and wonderful and helpful. So! I promised you some pictures, Vintage Bunny! Here you go. I've been enjoying playing with my camera for these.

You should also know, Bunny, that I've been listening to "A Rose for Emily" by the Zombies on loop because I love it so much. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside of me. Like I swallowed a sweater.

They Both Have Yarns Now

I finally went out in search of yarn--all the way out of town, where I found that the only yarn shop within a 45-minute drive of me had closed down. Plan B: Wal[star]mart. Yay for cotton! Good old Peaches & Creme.

Welcome... to Zombo.com

YES. Blog buddy knitting. It don't get better than that. So . . . choosing yarn. It's tough. Especially when leaving the house is not something you do a lot. But it will happen! And in the meantime, take this: it will help you in your journey. http://zombo.com/
